These chimney cakes, traditionally known as Kürtőskalács in the country of Hungary, gets its name for its cylindrical-shaped dough that is rolled around a wooden spit, in which creates the classic chimney look! You can fill up these cylindrical cones with almost anything- fruits, ice cream, whipped cream, you name it! Mine was a cinnamon-sugar coated cone filled with a twist of vanilla and chocolate soft-serve, fresh strawberries, whipped cream, and chocolate sauce on top, and it was a true delicacy. 😋 Previously located at the Paradise Valley Mall, @azchimneycakes recently re-located in Mesa, and they are here to stay! This dessert concept is an original of its kind in the Valley, so you definitely don’t want to miss out! With everything that is currently going on, it is important to support our small local businesses more than ever. Even though dining is now open in the Valley, you can still support businesses through takeout and delivery to ensure safe social distancing protocols!
