Kesari is definitely a must-try in DFW if you love Indian food or if you're a vegetarian. While they primarily focus on South Indian Cuisine, their North Indian Thalis (pictured) is absolutely amazing as well. I definitely recommend trying any of their Dosas also! If you ask anyone who knows about this place, it's among their favorite Indian restaurants.

Tucked away in Old East Dallas, this place is a true hidden gem. The Tortas here are insanely delicious and the owner is incredibly kind. Every order also comes with a free Sopa Fideo, which is all you can eat if you dine in.

If youโ€™re looking to try Korean food thatโ€™s a little more homely, Joy Kitchen is a true gem. They feature amazing Korean dishes from bibimbap to hot soups! They also have a self-serve kimchi bar that also includes a simple soup, purple rice, and all-you-can-drink Sikhye (Korean Sweet Rice Drink) and Boricha (Barley Tea).

Ngon Vietnamese Kitchen generated quite a bit of buzz around town when it first opened, especially the local Vietnamese community. Seriously, if you tried calling in as soon as they open and it will take you several times to get through the busy line. Ngon is all around an excellent restaurant and, and should be among the top restaurants in Dallas. It's definitely my favorite spot on Lower Greenville. The restaurant is beautiful, the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful when ordering, and the food is absolutely amazing. I definitely recommend any of their amazing banh mi, but another favorite of mine is their Bun Cha Hanoi.

Tucked away in Old East Dallas on the corner of Fitzhugh and Gaston, is what was formerly known as Brotherโ€™s Chicken, at one time an East Dallas staple. When you arrive, you really donโ€™t know what to expect. The drive through speaker is completely busted, the building looks slightly sketchy, and the parking lot is super cramped. But thatโ€™s sometimes where you find the best food, right? The chicken is well seasoned, the tenders are HUGE, and its alway hot and juicy! It comes with fries, 2 slices of white bread, pickles, gravy, and comes with a tiny bag of pickles and a jalapeรฑo.
